Grasshopper Girls host Emmanuel & Bodmin

Our first triangular of the season saw Grasshoppers girls tag team host Emmanuel and Bodmin, the girls played a series of matches in beautiful sunshine following the heavy winds which swept the pitches early in the morning.

All games were close with Emmanuel coming out challenge winners, but today was a day when every team did themselves proud. ..We also recognise Bodmin who had never played tag before but displayed great courage and sportsmanship and we welcome them back next year when hopefully we will have a contact team for them to complete against.

We are hugely proud at Grasshoppers of our Girls Section. Each Sunday ( 11:00 - 13:00 ) and Wednesday ( 18:30 - 20:00 ) over 25 girls play rugby in a well-organised, safe environment.

We currently focus on TAG, but the aim is to expand the section to encompass contact at mini (u13 ) junior (u15 ) and senior level.

Our objective is that every girl who joins Grasshoppers will have a enjoyable experience playing the game of rugby.

We are committed to the highest standards of child welfare and have qualified coaches. We arrange fixtures against other teams within Middx and Surrey and many of our girls represented Hounslow Borough at the London Youth Games during the summer.
